Les,
 
Let it be known that our little Calliope was successfully banded at 9:20ish
this morning.  The guys (David Holmes, Bruce Peterjohn, and Les Eastman)
waited around for it to return to the feeder just to be reassured that the
bird was okay, but they finally had to leave.  (They had a little trouble
with getting the band on.)  However, it returned a bit after 11:00 and
ravished the feeder as usual, so it was fine. I guess I will be expecting
more visitors.  Interested birders may still call for a visiting
appointment.  The number is (410-822-1966).
