Today was a pretty good day of birding. I Started at home watching my usual yard birds: Titmouse, chickadees, lots of bluejays, Mourning Doves, WB Nuthatch, both flyovers a adult Bald Eagle and a juvie Bald Eagle, Turkey Vultures , lots of crows and a Pileated Woodpecker.

10:30 hubby and I left for Robert E Lee park on the way we saw another juvie bald eagle on a deer carcass on a field Falls Rd just south of Mt Carmel. Lots of hawks on trees and wires all over the place.

We tried to find the Redhead Woodie and the Nutmeg Mannikin. No luck on either of these two birds. We did see a hairy woodpecker, male bluebird, titmouse, cardinals, song sparrow, wt sparrow, carolina wren, a few mallards and a kingfisher.

After this we headed to Westminster for some quick shopping and an early dinner. We left Westminster and headed for Bullfrog Rd. Here we saw three Harriers and two Short eared owls. Very cool and the Short Eared Owl was a lifer for me.
