The Greater White-fronted Goose was present again this afternoon around 4 at the Denton WWTP.

I had gone first thing this morning as well, but didn't have any luck then. When I arrived shortly after 7am, there were no geese. Within 15-20 minutes, a few hundred Canadas flew in, but the GWFG was not with them.

As with Ron's report from yesterday, there were many more geese in the afternoon than in the morning. Apparently, the afternoon geese are not roosting at the ponds, or else are leaving well before daylight. Whatever the pattern, it's worth checking more than once.

Earlier in the afternoon, I re-found the Orange-crowned Warbler in Somerset County at Fairmount WMA. This bird was originally found by Jim Stasz. Jim Brighton posted good directions earlier this week.
