I think they got confused between the Black-headed Gull and the Black-headed Grosbeak. The BHGR hasn't been reported on eBird since 12/25 whereas the BHGU has been reported daily.

That's a good question Gail. I haven't seen any positive reports here
on MDOSPREY since the 25th. I tried for about 35 or 40 minutes on
Thursday the 29th with no success. The lack of negative reports (for
which I am guilty but am also hereby rectifying) had me wondering.
There were a couple of negative reports from soon after Christmas.
