Matt Hafner and I also had a chance to see the Barnacle Goose, shortly after Ron. When we saw the goose, it had moved into the field and was not as easily seen from the road. We pulled off on the shoulder and tried to get close to the goose flock by keeping hidden behind the cedar trees. This allowed us to get fairly close, and we were eventually able to locate the goose, get some great views, and take some video of it. Great bird!

Prior to chasing the Barnacle Goose, we also visited the Denton WWTP looking for the Greater White-fronted Goose. We found this bird fairly easily among a flock of Canada Geese. We also located a Black-headed Gull mixed in with some Ring-billed Gulls on the pond, and a single American Coot.

At the Salisbury Landfill, we saw one juvenile Iceland Gull, and two Lesser Black-backed Gulls (one juvenile and one adult). Unfortunately, we were not successful in chasing the Assateague Lark Sparrow or the Hurlock Western Kingbird.
