Hey everyone,

Monday evening Jared Satchell and I drove over to Caroline County to
chase two Gadwall that Jim Stasz had alerted me to earlier in the day.
Jim found the birds at the sand pit just south of Goldsboro on Rt
313. When we arrived late in the afternoon the two Gadwall were still
present and had been joined by an American Wigeon. We then hurried to
the Denton WWTP and with the last semblance of light we were able to
view the Greater White-fronted Goose. Tuesday evening I had a pair of
Hooded Mergansers at the private farm ponds at the intersection of
Frazier's Neck and Skeleton Creek Rds. Tanyard held 18 Wilson's Snipe
and at Choptank there was a large congregation of gulls present and I
was able to pull out a single Lesser Black-backed Gull. This evening
at the Easton WWTP (Talbot County) there were six Northern Shovelers,
two Ring-necked Ducks, and two Ruddy Ducks along with the mass of
Canada Geese.

I have a new post up at my blog Mid Atlantic Nature. The post is on
the invasive plant species Porcelain Berry. You can view the post at
