Hi Everybody:

I woke up Friday AM with the idea of heading to western MD and then after checking the weather there I decided to head to southern MD instead. I did not go as far as Point Lookout and about 8 AM I pulled up on Abells Wharf Rd and was lucky enough to find the continuing N. Shovelers (12). The wind was brutal and if you did not hang on to your scope it would easily blow over. Other waterfowl there included both Tundra (14) and Mute (2) Swans, Gadwall (46), Ruddy Ducks (14), Ring-necked Ducks (6), Hooded Mergansers (3), Pied-billed Grebe(1) and American Coot (2). At one point I had 12 E. Meadowlarks fly into the field in front of me.

If you continued further down Bretton Beach Road from the intersection of Abells Wharf Road the first large pond on the left had 93 Ring-necked Ducks, 12 Gadwall, @ American wigeon and 3 Hooded Mergansers.

I stopped by the St. Mary's sewage treatment ponds and among the numerous Canada Geese and Mallards I found 1 female N. Shoveler and flushed 1 Wilsons Snipe.
