Comments: Conditions: 36°F, Clear, Wind: W at 14 mph, Humidity: 44%. Jay
Sheppard and I stopped by the Little Patuxent Oxbow Lake Nature Preserve after
checking out the Annapolis Junction Processing & Transfer Station on Brock
Bridge Road, and the Annapolis Junction Business Park. The railroad track that
runs parallel along Brock Bridge Road is the boundary between Howard and Anne
Arundel Counties. There were 60 Black Vultures on the ground at the transfer
station. From the business park, we observed maybe 100+ mostly Black Vultures
soaring in the thermals high into the air. At the Oxbow, there were at least 3
Bald Eagle (2 adult, 1 immature) (maybe 3 adult) that were getting the ducks and
geese up repeatedly. We saw no teal-sized ducks flying, but that doesn't mean
there were not there - just well hidden and staying out of the wind maybe.

Comments: Conditions: 36°F, Clear, Wind: W at 14 mph, Humidity: 44%. Jay
Sheppard and I stopped by the Annapolis Junction Business Park in Anne Arundel
County. Saw 2 Red Fox, 2 White-tailed Deer. We had counted 60 Black Vultures on
the ground at the nearby Annapolis Junction Processing & Transfer Station on
Brock Bridge Road; many of which were taking to the air as we departed (along
with a train of empty garbage cars). From the business park, we observed maybe
100+ mostly Black Vultures soaring in the thermals high into the air - many of
which included the 60 previously seen.
