There are no reports since January 18 on eBird and no reports on MDOsprey despite people trying. OTOH, the bird was missing last Friday and Saturday so I wouldn't throw in the towel just yet. I doubt there's any reason to believe that the bird is gone. It's still mid-winter and unless it got shot by a hunter, it should still be somewhere. It does seem to have pretty tight site fidelity to the bend in the Chester River so it'll probably come back. The weather today is as good as it gets as Saturday will be pretty miserable with the rain/mix. Sunday should be a bit more pleasant, tho. Hope someone relocates it!

I was thinking of trying in the morning. Any recent reports would be appreciated.

I'd like to maybe try again over the weekend.  I see no sighting on
MDOsprey nor on eBird today.  I'm informed the bird flew off possibly
northwest.  For good?
