The warm weather brought out lots of birds on the Anacostia River 

Highlights - from south to north

17 lesser scaup and 5 ruddy ducks just south of Frederick Douglas Bridge

1 lesser black-backed gull on water at Diamond Teague Park

2 bald eagles near the Park Police station 

2 American black duck at River Terrace

1 bald eagle (imm) and 1 Common merganser (male) at the National Arboretum

1 American Kestrel - Kenilworth Ball fields

4 Ring-necked ducks, 1 pied billed grebe, and 1 horned grebe at MacMillan Reservior (south end)
