MD Osprey:
It has been an interesting winter with regard to European geese
reports. I summarized NARBA's reports of Pink-footed Barnacle, and
one Graylag in a table at the link, below.

One other thing ... there was some discussion as to whether the
Howard County Pink-footed Goose is the mostly southerly record. There
is one record from Delaware: a single bird observed at Bombay Hook
NWR from 1 Nov 1953 until 21 Jan 1954. Published details were
convincing as to the identification; however, the possibility of it
being a escaped captive bird was undetermined. The authors of Birds
of Delaware (Hess et al., 2000) consider it to be "probable escape;
adequate documentation of identification." Regardless of the Delaware
status of this record, according to Google Earth, here are the
latitudes of interest:
Bombay Hook 39-21-58 North
Howard County pond (12/20) 39-16-58 North
So, it does appear that this is the southerly most record of
Pink-footed Goose for North America.
