Subject: [MDOSPREY] dove mystery solved

I was in Prince Frederick this afternoon and saw the two mystery doves flying
ogether near the Kmart. I followed them and found that they had flown into the
ign over the store and were hanging out in and behind the "g" in the Big K
ign. Anyway, they're pure white so when I saw them a few weeks ago in the low
ate afternoon sun, they had a more golden glow that made me think that they
ere Eurasian Collared-Doves. C'est la vie. Also, for anyone trying to tick Rock
igeon for Calvert, I seriously doubt that these are related. The bill is quite
longated and the head is much more tapered than the typical Rock Pigeon. I was
ble to snap a few pix in the dim light if you're interested in seeing what they
ook like. Clearly they hang out together as I've only ever seen the two sitting
lose the other times I saw them before today.
