In addition to Geese and R-b gulls migrating north this morning, I also had at least two groups of Tundra Swans pass by (Jug Bay area, at 7:20 and 7:35). I looked but could not find them, they were so high I only heard them (faintly).

Regarding the migrating gulls, I saw several small groups of very high altitude Ring-billeds, all headed decisively north with steady and strong wing beats. I am familiar with their flight, as I see them daily here when they commute (morning and eve) between the Chesapeake Bay and the PG landfill. Although sometimes they are flying direct daily routes, it usually involves some gliding and circling as they pass by Jug Bay. Also, they are normally not very high up when commuting. Even though gulls here will sometimes catch thermals and get way up high, when they do this they normally soar and glide to the next destination, rather than making a steady strong flight like I saw this morning. The altitude I saw them at this morning was WAY up there, and they were headed directly north.
