Hi all,

I took the dog for a morning hike at Soldier's Delight NEA in Baltimore
County. Early on we found a Field Sparrow singing with exuberance just off
the trail. Nearby, an Eastern Towhee called in its persistent way. Crows
cawed and carried twigs with purpose. Two Vs of Canada Geese headed north,
each of them numbering close to 200 birds. Vulture shadows crisscrossed the
trail. A few other songsters greeted the warming day, including Northern
Cardinal, House Finch, and even a single Dark-eyed Junco. Overall, it was a
pleasant morning that felt very much like early spring.

Good birding,

Sean Stewart
