Greetings!

First, I should mention that I unsuccessfuly tried for the VIWA on Wednesday during the hour that we had between the morning and afternoon deluges. I am happy to hear that it's still being seen -thank you Mr. Stasz for posting this news. I enourage others to keep us informed, as my (and likely other's) ability to cast off after such rarities is limited. I hope to try again Sunday morning, despite the forcasted gale...

I also want to mention that I heard my first of the season Junco singing this afternoon. I was in the garage and heard this chattery little tinkle of a warble and immediately thought, "its far to early for my House Wrens to be back;" then, I quickly remembered that it is indeed only March and the culprit was our winter resident Juncos.

Their song has always reminded me of House Wren, though I've never heard anyone else make that comparison. I love hearing them late winter/early spring. but this even seems a tad early! - I am NOT complaining though! I am so ready for spring migration!

Good Birding!
