Weather:
Overcast until the last hour and one-half; a few snowflakes; 36-41 degrees;
good visibility; winds westerly, 0-10 mph.

Raptor Observations:
Unprecedented for Ospreys to be the most numerous non-vulture migrant at
this early point in the season.

Non-raptor Observations:
A large ground-feeding flock - about 80 individuals consisting of 6 FOX
SPARROWS, robins, White-throated Sparrows, juncos, cardinals, Blue Jays,
starlings, a flicker, a thrasher, a goldfinch, and a mockingbird.  Some
to have migrated in overnight.  Herring Gulls appeared to be moving north.

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
