 Hmmm.... hopefully these nests were taken from a museum exhibit, and not cut out of trees for the art of it?  The pictures are very beautiful, but ....

For local bird news, the Cardinal, Carolina Wren, and Juncos have been
singing in the yard. I've heard a woodpecker drumming but I don't know which
one is doing it. We have a male Hairy Woodpecker whose red head is very
vibrant; he's been getting vocal, and also guarding the suet feeder. The
Juncos are getting testy at the feeder, and male Mourning Doves are amorous.
What fun to have an early spring!
