We just booked our flights to and from Seattle...it's amazing how expensive
they are! Not looking forward to the 6 hours flight. We're going to
fly out a day ahead, just in case there are any problems - you can never
know what might happen in New York!!

Now we'll have to start looking at tours - we were in Alaska on a 7 day HAL
cruise in 2008, so some of the tours were done the first time. Bill will be
checking over the tour booklet to see what looks interesting.

Can't believe it's getting so close...looking forward to being on the
Amsterdam again, and meeting great people!!

Hi Laura and Bill, always smart to get in a day before if you can.

So, you have been on the Amsterdam before? Any good secrets you can share
that you found before?

3 months form today! :D

Having HAL do our air fare was just to expensine over $1000 each. booking
air fare through Princess was great and same price as usual air fare. The
ship went through overhaul in 2010 so I don't remember, will have to be
there to refresh my memory. I only remember the ship is smaller than the
others, will have to check my old pictures.
Looking forward to this cruise, I loved the last Alaska cruise. Any VETS in
out group,(I was in the Marines '67 to '71) they usually have a Vets get
together on the ship.

Hi Laura and Bill,
I am not a VET, however I worked nearly 20 years for Civil Service at Camp
Pendleton. Some how, I don't think that counts.:D

Made my final payment today. Have made my expensive  air reservation.
All I need to do now is make reservations for a hotel as I am also flying in
one day early.

All the best,
