The bird I saw at noon was NOT the LeConte's.  Photos clearly show a
moustachial stripe, so it was a Savannah.   Sigh...

I guess that would explain what it was doing traveling with Savannahs.

Others, however, did spot it in the cattails, noting orange tones.  I
missed that.
