Hey everyone,

Yesterday, Hans Holbrook,John Hubbel, and myself birded around the mid
shore. We started off at Pickering Creek around 9:30am so Hans could
see the Virginia's Warbler. We left around 11:00 without see the
rarity, but we did see an adult White-crowned Sparrow. We headed to
Tanyard where there were many Wilson's Snipe and a few Lesser
Yellowlegs. At Choptank there was a Bonaparte's Gull swimming in the
marina with a large flock of Laughing Gulls. At Linkwood WMA we
dipped on the Orange-crowned Warbler. We then headed back to
Pickering Creek to try for the Virginia's Warbler again. When we
arrived Ed Boyd and Jim Stasz were there and after about an hour, just
when we were giving up, John heard the warbler chipping. We soon
spotted the bird working the roadside edge.

At my blog Mid Atlantic Nature, I have posted the final part on the
Trilliums of the Mid Atlantic. Pt. 4 focuses on the non-nodding
pedicellate trilliums. There is lots of cool info and photos. My
blog can be viewed at www.midatlanticnature.blogspot.com
