Weather:
Foggy during the first three and one-half hours, gradually becoming mostly
cloudy; 60-67 degrees; poor visibility; winds mostly easterly, 0-8 mph

Raptor Observations:
Patience was the order of the day.  When the fog finally lifted some about
1:30 pm daylight time, a small flight ensued with the first Northern
Harrier and Merlin of the season

Non-raptor Observations:
First Great Egret and Northern Rough-winged Swallow of the season;
Common Loon; 14 Red-breasted Mergansers; 21 Horned Grebes in a flock
plus 3 others

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
