HI all -- 

As I noted yesterday, Barry stopped off at Swan Creek on his way home from Back River. He had about 700 duck in the impoundments, of which about 550 were Lesser Scaup, 150 were Ruddy Ducks, 20 Canvasbacks and the rest too far to identify. Other birds of note was a VIRGINIA RAIL calling in the wetland area plus half a dozen Snipe in same area. Lots of Osprey and about 15 Great Blue Herons around but few passerines.
