There were many highlights on my lunchtime walk around the DC Veteran's Memorial, Constitution Gardens, and other areas on the Mall:
Plenty of juncos, robins, starlings and grackles pretty much everywhere

Tidal basin: Lots of beautiful trees, and a Pied-billed Grebe in the little inlet north of Ohio Drive.

DC Veteran's Memorial: (2) Orange-crowned warblers in the trees west of the Memorial. Also in this area, chickadees, titmice and a couple of Ruby-crowned kinglets.
An American Woodcock, flushed 3 times, initially by the east side of the horse barns. It kept sitting down just out sight, only to be flushed again. Finally it headed back to the east side of the horse barns. I felt bad for making it work so hard.

Constitution Gardens: An Eastern Phoebe in the trees west of the pond.
In the pond, the usual mallards and Canada geese, also two Double-crested cormorants, several Ring-necked ducks, several American coots and a pair Greater Scaup: these are new to my Mall list!

On the Mall by the National Museum of American History: A hunting Red-tailed Hawk and a trio of soaring Turkey Vultures (relatively unusual on the Mall)

A good birding day, plus all the cherry blossoms!
