This evening I was out in my yard listening to all the frogs, was it ever loud. I was watching the FOY Chipping sparrow at my feeders when I heard the familiar sounds of the Great Blue Herons. I walked down the driveway some and saw them at the top of the trees.  I was not sure how many are there but I got one shot of three flying out. They just circled back around and landed again. More of usual sounds were the Vultures flying in for the night. It sounding like they were crashing into the trees across the road from my house in the watershed trees.

It will be cool to hear the Great Blue Herons for the next couple of months. They make the strangest sounds.
