An interesting trip to Piney Run Park today:

Canada Goose  6
Mallard  10, all males
Ring-necked Duck  6
Lesser Scaup  3
Hooded Merganser  3
Ruddy Duck  3
COMMON LOON  1 in breeding plumage, first of the year
Pied-billed Grebe  9
BALD EAGLE  2, nest with one adult and at least one very active young,
possibly an early Piedmont nestling date in MD
Coot  40
No gulls.
Also no shorebirds or swallows yet.
The only migrant songbirds were Phoebe, Pine Warbler, Swamp Sparrow,
White-throated Sparrow, and Junco.
