Hi all, 

Despite the spring-like weather, not too much exciting at Wheaton Regional Park (WRP) and parts of adjacent Brookside Gardens today. The Fox Sparrows seem to have left, as have a lot of the Juncos and White-throats. Four TREE SWALLOWS were squabbling over Pine Lake, not our FOY but first sighting for us at WRP. Nice to see them back. The male Wood Duck was also in evidence but no sign of a female. Definitely a small movement of Flickers. A latish Winter Wren was also seen near the mini-train tracks. Many Robins but again, no sign of the Bluebird pair so they may have moved on. The nest boxes appeared unoccupied. Disappointing to not see or hear a Gnatcatcher or Pine Warbler or even a Kinglet. Oh well, they will come...
