I was so happy to see an end to the rain today, so we grabbed the chance for a walk on the fireroad. Hubby has been hearing the barred owl near the fireroad during on his daily walks so I was hoping for a chance to see it today. No luck there.

I did see and hear a lot of
Pine Warblers
Titmouse
Chickadees
Bluejays,
American Crows
Kinglets
Redbellied Woodies
Pileated Woodies
Turkey Vultures
I also heard an eagle flying around the reservoir. After visiting Conowingo so many times I know exactly what the eagle sounds like.

We also saw two Great blue Herons flying off of two of the taller Pine trees off of the fireroad. So, it looks like there are more Herons than the ones I am seeing in the trees down from my driveway. So, I guess Prettyboy is now a Great Blue heron rookery. This is the third year we have seen the Great Blue nesting in the trees next to the driveway and neighbors house.

In my yard I am seeing
White-Throated Sparrows
Chipping Sparrows
Titmouse
Chickadees
Pine Warbler
Downy Woodie
Redbellied woodies
Brown -headed cowbirds
Turkey Vultures
Black Vultures
American Crow.... also thought I heard a Fish Crow?
Cardinals
Bluejays
White Breasted Nuthatch
American Goldfinches
Juncos
Mourning Doves
Eastern Phoebe...heard
Carolina Wren
Great Blue Heron..making some of their very weird noises
Canada geese
