I went to Henryton this morning to look for wildflowers and herps. Nice assortment of early flowers and a expected Red-backed Salamanders. I also found a Ring-necked snake. There were 4 LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH singing along with 2 PALMS. A singing PINE WARBLER and WINTER WREN. I also stopped at ALPHA RIDGE for my sparrow fix and had a nice little flock of SWAMPS http://flic.kr/p/bsXcK7 A meadowlark singing from the landfill.

I had a SAPSUCKER in the yard yesterday.....
