Hi all,

Just some brief highlights from this morning along the C&O canal in
Montgomery. At Pennyfield Lock I ran in to my FOY Louisiana Waterthrush and
2 Yellow Palm Warblers. Also flushed a Turkey across the river. Walked from
Violette's to Riley's; 200+ tree swallows, 1 northern rough winged, both
scaup, red-breasted mergansers, 2 pine warblers, and
an up-close black-crowned night heron working the area just below the
bridge at Riley's.
