This weekend Jon and I were at Ft. Armisted, where 2 Great Egrets flew from AA County to Baltimore County.  

Also, we have been noting the Northern Gannet activity between Mayo Peninsula and Thomas Point.  We've seen Gannets here in the past, but always very far away, and not that commonly.  The past week, they have been very close to Mayo and not just in the Bay, but also up South River.  Today I was able to get a really wonderful look at the birds.  No binoculars needed to ID them - but with bins, I could see their yellow bills and other features REALLY clearly - some of the best looks I've had!
