It was a quiet morning at McKeldin yesterday. The only warblers I saw
were Myrtle and Pine

At Piney Run Park I watched the Bald Eagle take a fish to the nest. I
can see two young in the nest. On the lake were:
Gadwall 6
Lesser Scaup 2
Common Loon 1
Pied-billed Grebe 2
Horned Grebe 1, molting, head & neck mostly white, looked like a toy blue
goose
Still no swallows.

In the evening at Liberty Lake off Oakland Road:
Canada Goose 15
Mallard 1
Ring-necked Duck 5
Common Loon 2
Pied-billed Grebe 14
Horned Grebe 3, one nearly into breeding plumage
DC Cormorant 55, numbers building up earlier than in the past
Coot 175, an extraordinary number for here
