Hey everyone,

Yesterday at lunch at Bachelor Point Boatyard there was a Pied-billed
Grebe in the marina. This is the first time I've seen Pied-billed
Grebe at this location. Northern Gannets were numerous at the mouth
of the Tred Avon River with 32 counted. They were actively feeding.
One Long-tailed Duck and four Surf Scoters were also observed on the
river.

Last Saturday Tom Field, Jared Satchell, and myself made a quick run
down to SE North Carolina in search of Venus Flytraps. I have posted
the first of a two part trip report on my blog Mid Atlantic Nature.
My blog can be viewed at www.midatlanticnature.blogspot.com.
