My wife and I walked around Lake Elkhorn in Howard County from late afternoon to dusk.  There was a small group of Ruddy Ducks in breeding plumage with a pair of Buffleheads and a Horned Grebe, also in breeding plumage. An Osprey flew over.  The last bird we saw in the fading light was an adult Black-crowned Night Heron.
