Today at Hart-Miller with Kevin Graff two outstanding birds were seen.
First was an adult Gannet, probably about two or three miles to the south
somewhere off North Point but easy to see from our elevated position on the
south dike in the early morning. Second was a molting female Ruff, possibly
molting from juvenal plumage to breeding plumage. It was in the west pit in
the corner of the north cell with a flock of Dunlin and Yellowlegs. Kevin
will post the full list for the day and I have written notes on the Ruff.
