Weather:
Partly cloudy becoming sunny; 46-57 degrees; excellent visibility; winds
strong out of the north or NNW, 10-15 mph, gusting to 24 mph

Raptor Observations:
Falcons and Ospreys were the highlights today.  Two local adult Bald Eagles
spent much of the day with us.  Several Ospreys trying to take fish out of
some fishing nets. One of the Merlins was an adult male.

Non-raptor Observations:
Two Northern Gannets; 9 Horned Grebes; at least 86 Tree Swallows, 5
Northern Rough-winged Swallows, 7 Barn Swallows, 8 Purple Martins

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
