Hi, happy Easter to everyone!

Hubby and I birded the Prettyboy study area this morning. From about 8am to 9.

Here is a list of what I heard and saw. I will list the area (thinned or clear cut or the edge of the clear cut) where each bird was seen or heard.

American Crow..trimmed and fly over the clear cut
Bluejay...trimmed
Cardinals....edge of clearing
Carolina Wren...edge of clearing
Redbellied Woodpecker... edge of clearing
Downy Woodpecker...trimmed
Eastern Phoebe..edge of clearing
Pine Warblers...trimmed and edge of clearing
Golden Crowned Kinglets...edge of clearing
Bluebird...edge of clearing
Tufted Titmouse...trimmed
White Throated Sparrows...edge of clearing
White Breasted Nuthatch...trimmed
Carolina Chickadees...trimmed and edge of clearing
Chipping sparrows...clear cut and trimmed
Blue Gray Gnatcatcher...edge of clearing
American Goldfinches....edge of clearing
Mourning Doves..clear cut and edge of clearing
Double Crested Cormorants flyover the clear cut
Common Mergansers...flying over the clear cut

I am not positive but I thought heard a Northern Parula on the way back down the fireroad to the street.

I hope to check out the the study area more often now that the nesting season has started.

At home I am seeing the Chickadees and Bluebirds nesting in my birdhouses. And the Cardinals are nesting in the bushes in my front yard.
Still seeing the Great Blue herons from my deck. I am seeing most of the same birds as above in my yard and a Pileated and lots of Black and Turkey vultures hanging around. Just a few Juncos and White Throated Sparrows still in the yard.
