I didn't see any Sandhill Cranes, but I did see a two-day old Killdeer
chick imitating one.

Mark Schilling texted me to alert me that he had one Cattle Egret on
Route 8 on Kent Island today, so I thought it they're there... why not
right across the bridge. So on my way home from Sandy Point this
evening, I drove down Whitehall Road and found two birds cavorting
with horses. I didn't tell them that they were not cows.

As I was leaving late this afternoon, I finally lucked into my FOY
Broad-winged Hawk over my home.

Sandy Point highlights: Marsh Wren, 40 or so Bonies (one young
Bonaparte's Gull took the time to harass two Purple Martins flying
around the point), and one Red-throated Loon about five miles high
headed directly South down the Bay. Also out on the Bay was one lone
Northern Gannet, far North of the bridge, headed towards Baltimore.

Good Birding,
