A couple of yard migrants; today a single Blue-gray Gnatcatcher flew between the tops of the cherry trees along the back, and I spished it into landing, briefly, before it moved on. My FOS bird here.

Yesterday in the early AM, while standing on the walkway out back with my bins, waiting for the dog, I saw 4 very low-flying, breeding plumaged Common Loons head right over me, going north.

More Brown Thrashers are around, singing from the front and back yards, mockers are still gathering nest material. Today I watched a high-flying bird come across the yard heading north. Thinking it would be a Blue Jay, I turned my bins to it and was surprised to see it was a migrant (presumably) N. Mockingbird!
