Hi Everyone,

Last Year didn't seem to be a particularly good year for summering Yellow-billed Cuckoos in DC.  I think that was in part due to scarcity of Tent Caterpillars (at least in DC).  This year I'm seeing tons of large, "spider web" masses of Tent Caterpillars - especially at Fort Totten Park, and hope this is an indication of a good summer population of this fascinating bird.
