An awesome day birding all over the county with incredible Swamp Sparrow movement....in 10 hours of birding we had over 100! We also found a Vesper and good Savannah numbers. Of course the day had other birds with many FOY’s. Broad-Wings and 2 Harriers were a treat. A Green Heron...Pectoral Sandpiper http://flic.kr/p/byNPES and Greater Yellowlegs. Virginia Rail made a brief appearance. An evening walk had singing Northern Parula, Black and White and a number of La Waterthrush. A singing Rusty Blackbird was a surprise http://flic.kr/p/bMHtyg .

An interesting assortment of Odonates...more early dates! I have a ton of pictures from the last few days of birding....wildflowers, reptiles and insects....I’m expecting anything and everything now.

Go sparrowing!

Bonnie
