Good day for bitterns, apparently! This morning ~8:30 AM an American Bittern emerged from the reeds of the first right impoundment and flew over the cross dyke. A few minutes later it changed its mind and flew back to land somewhere near the main dyke. I did not find it again, especially since Mary Ann Todd kindly alerted me to the Little Gull found by David Czaplak at Violette's Lock.
