Sandy Point State Park, Apr 17, 2012

A great morning at Sandy Point.  Highlights: 9 warblers. Worm-eating and Black-throated Green were FOY, as was the Red-eyed Vireo.  Also of note: a probable Kentucky, but I couldn't track it down and I wasn't 'prepared' for it.  In other words, it wasn't until I drove past it that I recognized the song.  By the time I turned around it, it had silenced or moved on.

Also, last night I did some listening for migrants: I'm kind of new at this, but here are what I know I heard: Great Blue and Green Heron.  What I think I heard, but will not count: Yellow-crowned Night Heron and Barn Owl. 

I got an iPhone recording of the last of four brief screams. I sent the video to my guitarist who is going to try to amplify and isolate the vocalization.
