PVSP -- Sora and PROW

Hi Everyone,

I birded Patapsco Valley SP Between Hammonds Ferry Rd and Rte 295 during my lunch hour today, and had a few interesting sightings. One sighting I'm happy about is the return of Prothonotary Warblers to the area. Last week I had two (one on the Baltimore side and one on the Anne Arundel side). The male on the Balto side was prospecting potential nest cavities along the far side of the pond. Today, he surprised me on the side closest the path.

More exciting, was further down the path, off to the left (roughly half way between Hammonds Ferry and 295) I was trying to photograph a White-eyed Vireo and a SORA started calling from an adjacent marsh. I was so intent on the WEVI that I almost let the call slip at first. It registered a few seconds later. A minute later, the bird called clearly again.
