Thanks to those who have notified me about new records for Quiet Waters Park.  We've added three new species to our list totals!  If you haven't yet done so, please add your sightings into eBird by Friday night if you can.  New species are the priority, so you don't have to enter all your data by the deadline if you don't have time. We'll be compiling records this weekend for a big hearing on Tuesday that may have significant ramifications for this Crown Jewel of Annapolis.

Thank you!

Hello, MD Birders,

Are you are an eBird user?
Do you have bird observations or field notes from Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis from any time period that you have not yet entered into eBird?
Then the Anne Arundel County Bird Club needs your help!

The Anne Arundel County Bird Club is compiling a list of all bird species that have been observed in Quiet Waters Park.  Currently there are 123 species reported in eBird for this crown jewel of Annapolis.  Most likely, there are more species that have been observed but have not yet been reported in eBird.  In fact, my own field notes indicate that I observed a Gray-cheeked Thrush in 2009, which I need to enter (# 124!).

We are hoping to use the information on pressing conservation issues related to the Park and the surrounding landscape.

Thank you very much for any help.  If you have any data that you would like to enter, please feel free to email me offline.  And if time is a concern, I am happy to assist you.
