   This morning in the Liberty Watershed off Bollinger Mill Road despite
the windy conditions I managed eight species of warblers:

Canada Goose - two broods of young including one brood looking
freshly-hatched and dropping off a four-foot rock into the lake.
DC Cormorant  1
Great Blue Heron  1
Red-shouldered Hawk  1 adult flying off with what appeared to be a frog
dangling from its talons
Crested Flycatcher  1, heard only
Yellow-throated Vireo  2
Red-eyed Vireo  3, heard only
Rough-winged Swallow  1
Gnatcatcher  7
Ruby-crowned Kinglet  3
Ovenbird  4, heard only
Louisiana Waterthrush  1, heard only, chipping
BLUE-WINGED WARBLER  1, heard only, singing
Black & White Warbler  5
Hooded Warbler  1 male
Parula  4
Pine Warbler  2, heard only
BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER  1 singing male
White-throated Sparrow  20


This afternoon at Piney Run Park:

Canada Goose  12
Mallard  1
Hooded Merganser  2, a pair
Ruddy Duck  1 female
Common Loon  2 adults
Horned Grebe  1, molting
Great Blue Heron  2
BALD EAGLE  3, one adult soaring, two full-grown young in nest, the larger
standing on the edge flexing its wings
CASPIAN TERN  2 adults in breeding plumage at White Rock Road
Kingbird  1, heard only
Rough-winged Swallow  2
Tree Swallow  50
BANK SWALLOW  1
Barn Swallow  25
Cliff Swallow  10
Yellow Warbler  2, heard only
