Sorry for the delay, it's tough to spend any time indoors these days. Some nice birds seen earlier Saturday were both Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs, Spotted Sandpiper, 3 Hermit Thrush, one Blue-Winged Teal, Gadwall, Wood Ducks, and at least a hundred barn, tree, and rough-winged swallows. A Hooded Merganser had 3 chicks following her - I'm glad to report they were still around Sunday afternoon - there are many snappers in the main pond. Also saw a Great-crested Flycatcher.

On Thursday (4/26), when birding with the students, we spotted a Little Blue Heron, and I saw a Least Tern as I was leaving. Last year the first Least Tern showed up April 24th.
