Anhinga was there just now when we left after watching for about a half hour. We were lucky enough to have someone point out that it was in the top of a large leafless tree (much vegetation behind it made it difficult to pick out). We walked around the south side from the parking lot to the first (or second ?) wooden foot bridge and viewed it from that bridge directly across the small lake. Good luck to those who try or to those who try again. It makes the most sense to follow the trails that hug the lake as you walk around.
