I just submitted my e-bird report of the birds seen today at Susquehana and realized COMMON MERGANSER was listed as a rare species.  There were 6- 4 males and 2 females in the water, resting, as seen from the rr tracks along the walk at Rock Run.    Thinking back, I can't recall if I've ever seen these mergs at this late date.
