Hi all,

The top highlight of my time birding today at Lake Roland (aka Robert E.
Lee Park) in Baltimore County was a Prothonotary Warbler seen feeding along
the north side of the channel that feeds into the northwestern portion of
the lake (near the wetlands). I viewed the bird (it was not singing) from
the trail that runs along the south side of the channel (I guess this is
technically the Jones Falls at this point before it reaches the lake). The
most recent eBird reports for PROW at this location are from Spring 2009.

For the most part the park was quiet. The other highlights included a
singing Swainson's Thrush (in the pine barrens section) and nice looks at
Canada Warbler and Yellow-throated Vireo.

Good birding,

Sean Stewart
