Thought I'd wander out to this park. I found what was likely the Western Tanager in the parking lot at the J pavilion. Heard what sounded like a very odd Summer Tanager. By the time I found the bird, he flew just as I barely got my bins on him. Did not get a good look, but it certainly had all the right colors in all the right spots for it to be the bird. It flew off into a heavily wooded area and I did not see it again.
